mediainfo.dll
« on: April 27, 2014, 02:56:00 pm »
Hi,

Currently still using 0.9.9.21

Is there a way to update the MediaInfo.dll in PVD, I have tried to replace it with the one that I found in the latest version of MediaInfo (0.7.69) but it no work....The one in the PVD folder is from 2010. I find the latest version more accurate in scanning files...

Thanks.

You can also try with MediaInfo.dll from PVD 1.0.2.7 version.

Thanks, but no improvement there. Just acts the same as the latest version of MediaInfo (0.7.69) ... Guess it needs a tad more fiddling..

You can only use PVD v1 with the latest MediaInfo versions, sorry.

Thanks, and all the more reasons to upgrade to v1, which I did and found that mediainfo latest version is not that much more accurate as I expected (v0.7.69.dll), whilst the earlier version in .09.9.21 imported just the location of the DVD, I now get all ifo's and vobs listed :-(. Although it's easy to remove with mass editor. One day I hope we will be able to search for cast and crew in episodes, than most certainly this will be the best free VideoDB the world has ever known ;D

Another thing I would like to ask, if it's possible to switch off duration in file scanning, it's 50% inaccurate and I'm migrating from a db that contains all the accurate durations already, so it would be great to import that from an excel sheet not to have the exact durations overwritten whilst scanning files.

Cheers,
