So how exactly does the advanced search look like producing this error?

1] I filter the DB to get this:

2] I use the adv search as suggested, then click on containing and select = from the popup, enter "In Collection" into the edit box.

3] when I hit 'OK"  the error appears

I think what nostra is asking you for is, what exactly is the Advanced search query that is causing the error? Please attach a screen shot of the search dialog.

Advance search should work properly, but you could use a different technique for selecting records (for any purpose)...Select all the records in one group and bookmark them, then filter by bookmarks.

What I've been trying to achieve is exactly described in the thread link I had posted, so it's

For the first time ever tried the trick with Bookmarking all of my Owned movies, then using the Filters I choose: Bookmarked and I can view all of my own DVDs,

then back to the issue of getting the actual statistics... the same error appears on my screen.

Help, please

Should that not be Collection Status = In Collection? And why is there a second blank condition?

Advanced search does not do much in the way of error catching. If there are errors in your query, you'll get a SQL error.
