* Search the forum to check whether your problem has already been discussed.
Similar but not the same issue.  There is a discussion about all non-director credits importing into writer field.

* Make sure that you can reproduce the phenomenon and provide step-by-step instruction.
Using PVD Classic skin
1. Movie view
2. Select - View - Group by - Composer
3. Observe a list of names in left panel
4. Expand any name to show movies
5. Click on movie title
6. Observe name (step 4) is listed in "Writer" field, not Composer.
7. From the same movie (step 5), note name in "Composer" field.
8. Look in list of names (step 3)
9. Observe name noted in step 7 is not in the list.

It occurred me to check grouping by writer.  Sure enough, it displays composers.  So at least there is a work around.

Welcome, Pensare.

Thanks for such a complete description of the problem. Yes, it seems they've been switched.
