Thanks for your reply and sorry for the late reply i got locked out of this forum by making a password change and it seems the mailing system on here is broke, i didn't get any confirmation email to reset password and ended up locked out, i think it must have timed out after so many days and it's let me back in now.
I tried what you suggested and PVD loaded up with no films so i imported an old backup which worked, which was great! so i immediatley exported into all formats as a precaution.
But next time i tried to load the database up i found that the version had returned back to V.10 (?) the latest version, not sure how thats happened as i ran the same bat file from within the zip folder for V.9 so very strange. I've not been able to get it working since.
I should probably try re-unzipping the zip file and doing it again but wonder why it reverted back to a newer version when it shouldn't even be on my system although i may have the newer version in another folder on the PC somewhere, not sure if this will interfere with it.
