Support / Re: Personal Video Database file missing movies Windows 8

Thanks for trying. After reading your message I loaded the program onto my laptop, which is windows 7, and managed to open the database.
It's not the machine I want to use it on, but I guess that's better than nothing.
Is my problem windows 8? Have you been able to open old datebases using Windows 8?
Yes I was opening the correct datebase.
My other Kung Fu Movies database wouldn't work on my new window 8 machine either.
Thanks,

Sorry I don't know what version it was. I've been using it for about 3 years at least.
I'll send you the files if you tell me how.

My back up file is nearly 17 kb too. I don't have any graphics in it, very modest...over 500 records though. Yes it is a PVD file. There is a PVD.BAK file of it too. I open Personal Video Database and open the database file with it. It says at the top the name of the database file...but it says 0 movies. Most distressing. Any advice would be great. thanks
