During the search for movies info. has anyone yet found a solution why the IMDB url for movies can't be found.
Every script I've tried so far don't work.  The movie(s) IMDB url can't be found so none of the movie(s) information can be downloaded and applied to the database.  The script I currently use to Import the movie information (IMDB_[EN][HTTPS]_TEST_1.psf which is also attached) only works Once the IMDB url is entered in the database for the movie(s). It works perfect for downloading all the data I want for the movie(s) but like I said the URL for the movie(s) info. is needed for it to work.

? Naming convention of Movies ?
For a File name;  ':' cannot be used in a file name.  So instead I use ' -' in its place so a movie like 
Hellboy: The Crooked Man would be Hellboy - The Crooked Man instead. 
Do any of the scripts when searching for a movie; movies url make the change when it comes across a movie that has a ' - ' in the title name and change it to ': ' so it can find the movie?   Seems like every movie on imbd with a : in the name can't be found not to mention every movie period as of the last couple of months.

IMDB Search still not working you already know.  If I input the URL for each of the movies not found then run/import using IMDB [EN][HTTPS]_TEST_1 All the information is downloaded for each of the movies.   Just the search to find does not work.

Support / how to keep 2 different movies separately identified during scan for new movies

I have 2 movies. 1.   Fall (2022) and another 2. Moonfall (2022) each time  I run a scan for new movies Moonfall (2022) keeps coming up with the option to Change File Path to that of the new different movie of Fall (2022).

Can someone Please tell me how can I stop this from happening if at all possible?

Hello Ivek23,

Just finished updating the movie database once more using 'IMDB_ [EN] [HTTPS] _TEST_1';  2 movies that downloaded the Description also downloaded a bunch of jibber-jabber jargin thereafter as well, making the Description very lengthy; requiring me to manually clean it up.  Perhaps you could test the movies yourself to see if a fix should be applied to the script.
They were both animation type movies:
The Bobs Burgers Movie (2022)    and
The Sea Beast (2022)

Edit:
Added another movie 'The Phantom Of The Open (2021)' and it downloaded same jargin for Description+ above.

Edit:
Jurassic World Dominion (2022) -- Description added to database after download is nothing like the Description presented on IMDB's site for this movie.

The Black Phone (2021) -- Description added to database after download is similar to the Description presented on IMDB's site for this movie but it is not the same.

Downloaded Description added to database:
Finney Blake is a shy but clever 13-year-old boy who is abducted by a sadistic killer and trapped in a soundproof basement where screaming is of no use. When a disconnected phone on the wall begins to ring, Finney discovers that he can hear the voices of the killer's previous victims. Thank you Ivek23 for all your hard work in keeping PVD up and running.

In the final script I had to change line 86 to this 'SCRIPT_NAME  = 'IMDB [EN][HTTPS]_TEST_1''  so I could easily spot it to make it seeable and selectable. Just trying it out now will let you know if I have any more problems.  Thanks again I will be looking to donate again soon.

Just finished updating my database with 7 new movies using the 'IMDB_ [EN] [HTTPS] _TEST_1' after apply the change above and everything works perfect for what I'm looking to add to my database for each of the movies.

I was just wondering is there anyway to set the size of the cover image for each of the movies in the database.  I like to set my size to 318 (width) x 424 (Height) pixels.  To do this however, I save the new images to a folder, do a batch resize then import each back in.

One more thing I noticed is that out of 35 of the last movies I added to my database, 27 of them are missing the Genre.
Is there anyway you can make a simple script that will allow me download the Genre for the selected movies that need it to be updated?

Out of 13 movies I currently tried to add to my database over half were found to have downloaded crude for the movie Description.
Such as "Did you knowTrivia...."  this is not the actual description for the movie(s) I had to you use the links for the movies, go to the imdb site and and actually copy the the movie description and then add it manually; copying over the crap it put there.
I would like to know if you are intending to post a new script as a fix for this?
Some movies I added where this happened were:

IMDB_[EN][HTTPS].psf v1.4.1.5 no longer gets the image/poster or movie description, nor the IMDB Votes and Ratings
It does get actors and url which is displayed as http:// and not https://

I've been using TheMovieDB_[EN][API].psf V1.0.0.3 It seems to work for most movies. If not then I have to go to Imdb.com search for the movie, then copy and paste the url link for the movie then use import with TheMovieDB [EN][API] as the selection.

Hello,

For a while now I've been using pvd v1.0.2.7 and for movie information I'm using TheMovieDB [En] to get all the information and image for the database.  For each movie I put into the database I have to keep going to IMDB.com to get the current ratings and votes for each movie. 

I have quite a few entries in the database and would hate to mess things up.
Is there a separate pluggin I can use to just IMPORT the current imdb ratings and votes for each of the movies I select in my database?

"IMDB Main pages, have no transfer of posters, ratings, producer, composer, description as well as information related additional IMDB web pages."  Not to mention "Original Title" which for a great deal of movies will show up in PVD database as "Var Ue_t0=window.ue_t0||+new Date();" which while scanning you are constantly having to select to "Preserve All Copies" in the database.

This issue has been going on since about the beginning of 2016 when IMDB.com changed their website look until now; almost half a year ago and still I have not got the solution and basically have to keep enter all information by hand (copy/paste) from IMDB's site.

Has anyone as yet come up with a solution since IMDB.com changed their website look?

I updated the scripts to Imdb Movie Photo(Poster)(2).psf v0.1.3.2 but nothing seemed to work correctly.  Perhaps it had something to with selecting silent mode and download all images. I deselected those options and changed to Automatically select best match after 10 sec. but I also went back to the old IMDB Movie Photo Script v0.1.2.0 and then tried a new scan for movies.  Found 4 and updated all 4 no problem.

I even changed on line 148... SCRIPT_TYPE   = stMovies; to stPoster;

pvd v1.0.2.7 and IMDB [EN] v0.9.8.26 problems
1. No cover images or posters are downloaded.
2. No IMDB Ratings are downloaded
3. Original Name is nothing more than a bunch of mumbo-jumbo for some movies.  And once that gets downloaded, I get a pop-up saying I already have the movie in the database, do I want to merge them etc.

I'm running Windows 7 Pro x64 and using PVD v1.0.2.7

I'm having a problem with a movie, the movie is  called 'Inherent Vice (2014)' this movie is also a t.v show series. I kept getting an arithmetic error that I could not find a way to get rid of and had to start the scanning of all my movies all over again.
The url to the movie is: http://www.IMDb.com/title/tt1791528
But even entering it manually and try to scan movies to update older info like the IMDB votes, I still was getting the arithmetic error and I don't know why.  I keep getting the viddb error:
arithmetic exception, numeric overflow, or string truncation string right truncation
At procedure 'GET_TAGS' line: 1, col:321
Arithmetic overflow or division by zero has occurred.
Error Code: 1.

Currently using PVD v0.9.9.21.

I'm using plugin IMDB [EN] v0.9.8.25 for Movie Information.
All the information is downloaded but No Poster.
When I select to Scan for new movies and some are found, at the
bottom of Scan Results window Poster is Set to AMAZON [EN] and on the drop-down menu those listed
In Preferences under Plugins below are also available for selection.

In Preferences under Plugins,
For Type: Poster Import, I have listed only:
- AMAZON.CO.UK [EN]
- AMAZON [EN]     --- in bold text
- Impawards [EN] and
- filmup_poster

For Type: Movie Information, I have many plugins, but currently
selected is as default is IMDB [EN] v0.9.8.25

So someone mentioned a temporary fix for this, and that was to use
the IMDB Movie Photo Script.
This does Not Work.
IMDB Movie Photo Script shows up as Type: Movie Information
Not Type: Poster Import as it should.

The same goes for TheMovieDB [EN].  Both show up as Type: Movie Information in Preferences\Plugins...
Not Type: Poster Import

I like to get the movie info. for IMDB.com No other.
For Posters / Cover Images I don't care where they come from as long as its done automatically
when I choose to Process the Scan Results and get New Movie Info.

Support / IMDB Plugin 0.9.8.16_Not giving anything for Original Title

IMDB Movie Plugin 0.9.8.16 Still doesn't seem to be providing any data for the Original Title after new movies are updated; this area still seems to remain blank and I still have to enter the information manually.  Is this the same for anyone else?
