Thanks for the continued great work.
likely something minor - hope I posted this in the right place
I do have 1/2 of the import fields turned off but it takes a long time getting some info so I don't know if any other Fields are affected.
For Fields "Actors" it fills this field with the following repeatedly...

Could not find series as you have it listed (or anywhere)... But did Find 'Episodes' tab and that's doing the trick - to add - edit and get things sorted right

Support / Box Sets, Movies Series, etc how to group?

Ive noticed that when adding some of my box sets and it does an incomplete, partial or does weird renaming...
IE my Tremors added the the 4 movies as +Tremors - #1.1 ~#1.4
Mission Impossible as +Mission Impossible - 2. #1.2 and 2 more +mission impossibles -3. #1.3
I suspect its the Series feature kicking in... and making a mess of things
My question is can it be done manually - what is the correct way?
1) How to create a new movie +set
2) How to add a movie to and Existing +set
3) Names the Dir/Files so it does it automatically (set a rule?)
For box set of 2-3 I just add extra links to the files and pick a box set picture
But when you have 4+ movies in a series it looks and works better as a +set list - especially when the movies don't follow a set rule for naming
Just after a little guidance here please

I kinda understand where your coming from and how this will work very well for me. But...
1) I have 0 understanding on how implement this
2) XML is new to me - but fumbling around and figuring it out slowly
Although I have basic programming and database knowledge I understand the theory but don't know how to start or implement
I have found a XML Editor and a current skin which will work (once I add the relevant information)
I just need help like a single example of what you saying would be great hot to add / define a custom field to use (with a boolean example would be great)
as about the only thing I can currently figure is how to move the comment in the xml skin and use that... ;(

Having Multiple Seen buttons for more than 1 person
As PVD is a great tool not only for cataloging dvd's but for all media content
Ive seen say 1/2 the movies my wife has brought and she seen like 1/3 of the ones I got and not to mention the TV series and other junk we have collected over the years
Since we are sharing a database so its much easier to manage, once someone has clicked Seen that's it ... who has seen it? me, wife, kids? cat?
So having the option of multiple Seen buttons with Multiple color coding would be awesome.

Now to set this up on my friends computer...

So Basically from the Top in order to Run PVD from Multiple Computers on a typical LAN
1) Install PVD on all computers
2) Install Firebird on Master PC
3) Set UP Database on Master PC (must be a local drive - not on a network share or NAS)
4) On Master PC Open Port 3050 in your firewall to accept local traffic
5) Get your Path Information Correct (ie start run - cmd - ipconfig get your PC IP for Master PC) so you will use IPaddress:Location ie(192.168.1.66:C:\Dump\MOVIES.pvd)
6) on all Computers Use the Connect to server and use the 5) correct Path ie(192.168.1.66:C:\Dump\MOVIES.pvd)
Also From Local PC: 192.168.1.66:C:\Dump\MOVIES.pvd - working as intended

but: MARKS-PC:C:\Dump\MOVIES.pvd - Failed to open database
So 1/2 Solved can now open 1 version at a time from either PC
If the PVD is open on 1 PC then it locks the DB
Failed to open database Errorcode 664 .... database is probaly already open in another engine instance in another windows session ... blah blah
It this working as intended? is this a limitation? or is something still not right?

Update - More farting around and just getting 401 errors - have moved Movies.pvd to other locations on local machine under fully shared r/w dir locations and still no joy
Possibly the Firebird client is not running correctly - no idea how to check this out
Maybe ill just have to sync the Database across the network from time to time - kinda totally defeats the purpose of the wife adding notes/rating etc...

Having issues getting it to run from a network machine
