Nostra...if you take me some time, i don't have proplem to add the colon <caption> in all the old skin...and the new...
Only tell me the skin to change  ;)

It's called a "colon," and is not to be confused with the last part of the digestive system.

I feel your pain. I remember having to add them to all my <caption>'s, so they would be consistent with my <fieldlabel>'s, even though I didn't really want them. I wouldn't mind if they were removed, but I wonder how long it would take for someone else to ask for the stupid things to be put back in. It might be easier to us colon-haters to just to replace all our <fieldlabel>'s with colon-less <caption>'s. ;)

IMO the 2 points ":" (i don't know the english word)  ;D are to be removed.

i think that if i want the : i put them with <caption>
