PvdImport doesn't "take any direct action" wrt. updating the sidecar files.

But since PvdImport can fill in a lot of tags, and surely the ones you mention above, I guess you'd have to rely on the JRiver MC mechanisms to achieve this. Isn't there an option in the right click context menu called "write data to tags" or something?

I've deselected the jr sidecar option in MC and deleted all the .xml files. I don't really see the point in having these files anyways.

ive started doing my movies in pvd import and jriver. and curious if pvd import will fill in all tags for sidecars in jriver for the movies? or do those all have to be entered manually too? release dates,  actors, genres etc...
