Thank you nostra for yr prompt reply.

Just to clarify that the window in my above mentioned case 1) remains greyed till the backup finishes. It has always worked that way from my first installation. The backup itself is correct in both cases 1) and ) though. (Have checked it on another PC to be sure).

Many thanks again for yr help.

1. is not normal and would usually only happen if smth goes wrong
2. Is ok and I can add some confirmation dialog box here. A progress indicator would be difficult to make as the backup itself is made using an external application.

Hi All,

While backing-up my PVD, I notice that every time it responds differently (with WinXP Pro).
1) Either the confirmation (to overwrite) Window remains greyed, or
2) The confirmation window disapears after clicking the OK button and nothing seems to happen (for some minutes). Then suddenly the screen is sort of refreshed and I can understand that the backup is complete.

Is this normal?

Could we have some indicator of the backup progress (i.e. a bar indicator)?

Thanks for any help.
