So it must be the database, and it seems you have no backup. It's been a very long time since I've used gfix. When you used it, was there anything that suggested another try might help?

Does the error happen regardless of which and how many records are selected for export? If it occurs only with one or a few corrupt records, maybe you can find and delete them. Or avoid them and export the rest. The purpose of doing that would be to export all that you can, and then import that into a new database. :-\

Export works with a new (3 records) database.

Did you try it with a new database?

THX
I've fixed the db with gfix, tried to backup and restore, using Beta 1.0.2.2 and 1.0.2.3 - same problem.

The PVD program works great but the export function still doesn't work.

No Idea why i can't export any list from database?

Sorry, I haven't a clue. Maybe nostra will, if and when he notices this thread. Meanwhile, you might want to try creating a new database with a few records, and exporting from that. If that works, it would suggest a problem with your database. If it doesn't, you could try the beta version. It has some rough edges, but more features and is just as stable.

Thank you.
The file bugreport.txt exists with the right date and time but it's empty.

When the error happens, are you provided the option to send an error report? (That's what madExcept is supposed to do.) That report may include details which will help nostra identify the cause.
