Amazing, thank you  :D

There are also two more problems, there are two movies PDV keeps on relisting as "new" each time I search for new movies.
One is called "Z" (maybe the single letter title is the problem, in pvd it's listed as "video").
The other one is called "Chevallier & Laspales - Ma Femme S'appelle Maurice (Film).avi"

I have identified the problem. The issue will be fixed in the next version 1.x version.

The path is :
I:\Pvd\Posters\

When I connect my hdd to the other pc, its j:

The path is automatically changed to j:\Pvd\Posters\
(which is the right path), but it doesnt work

Can't reproduce the problem with external posters here. What the currently set paths to your database, PVD and posters?

It seems like you created "Uguf Dvd 2" as a series with episodes #1.1 - #1.3. It would be a mess if you could see all the episodes of all series along with all other movie records...

Well emm, i didnt, but i will check if i manage to deal with that.

Any idea for the posters issue ? :

Also, I just used pvd along with the movies on my htpc, on which the external hdd those are on has been given another letter.
Everything seems to work - thanks to portable mode - BUT the movies posters (i defined a poster folder in the options, instead of using the database to store them).
I checked in the options, the drive letter was indeed changed for that (posters folder) as well, but it didnt work for some reason

Now I understand. These functions do not work with relative paths indeed. I will add this to my TODO list, thou.

Great !!

Select in main menu: View -> Plain view

Its already set-up this way, but it still groups things.
I have those files for instance :

Uguf Dvd 1.1.avi
Uguf Dvd 1.2.avi
Uguf Dvd 2.1.avi
Uguf Dvd 2.2.avi
Uguf Dvd 2.3.avi

Pvd lists those as :

Uguf Dvd 1
+ Uguf Dvd 2
            1. #1.1
            2. #1.2
            3. #1.3

It doenst see uguf dvd 1.2
(neither does it see 5.2 - as i have more of those)

I need to run the "find movies removed from hd" then the "scan folders for new movies" commands to update the database, if i dont it still lists deleted movies, but thats okay, the problem is that I need to specify the folder i want to scan EVERYTIME i do a scan (and i do it a lot), why ?

You are able to enter such paths into the File Path field. The video files will be played correctly and PVD will be able to tell if the files exist, delete them etc. What exactly and where do you expect to happen?

Its obvious that its the folder already specified in the file paths options...

Hi

I just downloaded this great app, thank btw.

I'd like to use it in portable mode (as all of my apps), as i would like to use it on an external drive (so letter may change), and all of my movies to be in a PVD subfolder (so that it always find it).

So I start pvd using portable.bat, but how do I set my movies folder to a relative path ?
They are all in a "video" folder, so i expect to be able to enter ".\video\" or "video" as my video folder, which i did in the "folders" preferences submenu.

Problem is it doesn't seem to refresh properly. When I use CTRL+F it requires me to select which folders should be scanned, while i just want to update the current one...
I'd like my database to be automatically refreshed though...

Also, it seems it tries to group things, even though i disabled this in the options...

Thanks
