is there a file I can back up...?

Settings are saved in pvdconf.ini in your Windows Application Data directory.

Is Preferences>Movies>Information card Show credits as role still checked?[/i].

Gah! I knew I was overlooking something. That did the trick, thanks. (In lieu of a smiley icon that denotes stupidity, this one will have to do -  ::) )

On a related note, is there a file I can back up (along with my database) that contains settings such as this (and plugin settings, etc.), in case I ever have to do a reinstall in the future?

Is your IMDb plugin up-to-date? Run Help>Check for updates.

I recently had to reinstall Windows XP, but didn't have to wipe my drive, thankfully. So my PVD folder was still intact -- nonetheless, I backed up my main database to another folder anyway, before I reinstalled PVD.

Now, however, no matter which skin I use, I no longer have actor's roles displayed anywhere -- and I am certain they were there on nearly every record before (if not all of them).

Any suggestions, other than re-downloading every entry from IMDb?  ???

TIA
