importing posters
« on: June 08, 2008, 01:48:23 pm »
I'm having probs importing posters, i like to use mainly Amazon.com and i know that the posters exist on amazon.com yet the import plugin is not finding these films, is there any reason why the plugin isn;t finding them? does the plugin search for the file name as opposed to the film title perhaps? im just trying to figure out why the plugin is not finding the posters that i know are there.

The plugin searchers by orig. title and title (if nothing found by orig.title) in DVD section on Amazon.

For which movies does the plugin find nothing?

I'm having similar problems. If I import with silent mode turned off, a proper matching poster is found on Amazon for every title, but I have to manually click each one. With silent mode turned off, it finds nothing. Obviously the titles are accurate enough for the plug-in to work perfectly with silent mode turned off, so what's different with silent mode on?

Welcome, Whitey.

See this thread. AFAIK, it hasn't worked properly since then. Try IMPawards instead.
