Meaning of button?
« on: March 20, 2012, 04:08:15 pm »
When you do "New movie master" and it lists films there is a little square next to the movie, but this box has 3 states, it can be empty, it can be filled and it can have a check mark.
Whats the difference between filled box and check mark?
(I looked at the wiki, there doesn't appear to be an explanation)

Not checked - do nothing
Checked - This is the currently selected movie
Checked Grayed - Add these movies as well

It's sad that isn't the order. The first one is grayed, then its the checkmark, so you have to click twice ever time.

You only need to select the record as if you have only one record selected and no checkboxes then the effect is same as if you had the selected record checked.

It seems to me the checkboxes are only of use in the very rare circumstance you want to add more than one of the movies listed. Otherwise, it's much faster just to double-click the one correct match.
