I have an error opening up PVD 0.9.9.11 on Windows XP SP2 & also on Vista 64 SP1.
The 1st error message: "Failed To Open Database"
followed by 2nd error message: "File is not a valid database. Connection Authorization Failure. Error Code 3"
The file opens fine after rebooting. Then it causes the above error again.
I have had this problem before but got rid of it by saving the file as another file or creating a new file and restoring a backup.
After this error PVD opens a blank window and takes a long time to shut down.
The errors occured on both occasions after creating a new database in the same folder ("C:\Documents\Personal Video Database"). This time I also deleted 50 entries prior to the problem occuring.
I thought the problem might have been corruption of the database but the same error occurs with backups and another, smaller database.
I was going to uninstall PVD so as to do a clean install but I don't know how to do this.
My best guess is that PVD is not closing down properly and that it is still in the system memory so that when the new instance is opened it thinks that the database is still in use.
